Micro-Volunteering

What is Micro-Volunteering?

Micro-Volunteering is a 'small, quick, low commitment action that benefits a worthy cause.

The actions might be a task that could be accomplished as a whole unit from start to finish by one person within, say 30 minutes or it might be an action that could be broken down into its component parts where an individual is just one of many people performing the same task to achieve an end result.

Where can I find out more about Micro-Volunteering Opportunities?

From 'Help from Home', an initiative that was born in Cardiff, with the simple mission to inspire people to volunteer for good causes from the comfort of their own home.

Examples of Mircro-Volunteering include:

  • Actions via your computer and via the internet
  • Greener Actions (including environmental and recycling actions)
  • Actions that involve the written word
  • Actions that involve craftwork
  • Plus many other miscellaneous actions
