This programme has been very long in development and many groups in the voluntary sector must by now be wondering what happened to the programme announced by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) over two years ago.  VAL has been working hard to ensure that the VCS is recognised as an appropriate deliverer within the developing ten year business plan. 

We have established representation on the working groups for the plan and currently hold Vice-Chairmanship of the Interim Partnership Board. The first outline plan was presented at the end of September 2005 following other failed attempts at earlier points in the process. The Bedfordshire & Luton Economic Development Partnership is leading for the sub-region.
