The Kingsbrook and Cauldwell areas of Bedford are one of 150 neighbourhoods identified by the Big Lottery Fund, which will each receive at least £1 million for local funding schemes over a period of up to ten years.

• Oct 2010 - Community & Voluntary Service are asked to prepare the way

• Jan 2011 - The first community meeting, attended by 40 local community members, agrees to focus efforts on letting local people know about Big Local
• Dec 2011 - A bid is submitted to the Big Lottery for more funds for Getting People Involved
• Feb 2012 - The second community meeting generates lots of ideas.
• Mar 2012 - Getting People Involved round 2 swings into action
