Transforming Local Infrastructure for Bedfordshire & Luton
Bedfordshire & Luton’s VoluntaryWorks Partnership of Voluntary Infrastructure Bodies (including Community & Voluntary Service) is one of the seventy-two UK partnerships of local voluntary sector support groups that have received funds from the Office for Civil Society’s £30m Transforming Local Infrastructure fund, that has been set up to help infrastructure bodies work together more closely. The Bedfordshire & Luton partnership has received £799,798.

Advice Services Transition Fund
Three Bedfordshire partnerships of local not-for-profit advice providers win a share of the £67m Advice Services Transition Fund totalling £860,193. Those partnerships are Bedford and District Citizens Advice Bureau, The Disability Resource Centre and Luton Rights. More details can be found on our Local Voluntary Sector News page
Safeguarding - Key changes
- From 10th September 2012 the definition for regulated activity changed for individuals working with children and adults.
- The CRB and ISA merged on the 1st December 2012 to form one body, the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
- The CRB application form has been replaced with a revised DBS application form.
