Councils in Bedfordshire will be changing


The Government have instructed Bedford Borough Council to become a Unitary Authority and that Mid Beds DC and South Beds DC are to form Central Bedfordshire.

Beds County Council will be abolished but will work with the new Unitaries to ensure a smooth transition of services to be operational from 1 April 2009.
