Consultation Starts to Drive Economic Growth in Central Bedfordshire

Central Bedfordshire Council is asking voluntary and community organisations, residents and businesses to share their thoughts on boosting jobs growth throughout the area. ________________________________________________________________

A draft Economic Development Plan aims to establish how partners across Central Bedfordshire will work to achieve the area's economic potential and deliver the 27,000 additional jobs being forecast by 2026. It recognises the valuable role volunteering can play as a route to employment and the role of social enterprise in developing the economy.

Central Bedfordshire Council is currently undertaking a 13 week consultation process on the draft plan and is seeking to gain views on the things that will have the most impact in supporting jobs and business growth in Central Bedfordshire over the next three to five years. The consultation process will allow it to prioritise activity and target resources at those areas which will make the biggest difference in driving local economic growth.
