Education Support Service

(Was African Caribbean Support in Education)

BR&EC has secured funding to provide a Mentoring Support/Service in education, to 13 to 18 year olds of Black & Minority Ethnic Heritage. The students will have been selected to realise and raise their full academic potential also given insight into future career opportunities.

Students will have...

  • opportunity for support
  • one to one mentoring sessions on a weekly basis
  • help to get them on target
  • acknowledgment of achievements
  • given strategies to enable them to achieve their goals
  • introduction to social activities, if required

The focus of this project is to increase educational attainment of Black & Minority Ethnic Heritage students.

Support is provided by a CRB checked trained Mentor.
