This workshop will provide you with a general understanding of the main Publisher functions and give you the skills to enable creative design of flyers and posters, newsletters and booklets.

This is for YOU if ….
- you are a beginner or you need a refresher course
- you want to progress through to being confident and competent users
Although you need have no previous experience of the programme, you must have computer, mouse and keyboard skills and you must commit to the complete two-day programme.
Content:
- choosing different types of publication, from postcards to booklets
- colour schemes and designs
- the use of text boxes (and modifying the properties of text boxes)
- inserting and modifying images (size, colour, angle, etc)
- using WordArt, lines and boxes
- altering the shading and colouring of text and boxes.

Week 2 - 7 February
review of week 1

Trainer
David Durrant is an experienced ICT Tutor delivering these two-day training courses on behalf of the Adult Community Learning Service for Bedfordshire County Council. He has been involved with Adult Education since 1990. Working as a freelance, he has contributed to the organising and retraining of unemployed adults, as well as working with school leavers. and trainees studying NVQ programmes at Further Education Colleges.
Venue
The workshop will be held at Bossard House, West Street, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 1DA. This venue is fully accessible. Parking is available in a pay and display car park nearby.
