By the end of this workshop you will...
- understand what types of abuse vulnerable adults can experience
- know what to do if you have concerns or suspicions or witness abuse taking place
- be able to up-date your policies and practice to include adult protection.

- what to do if an allegation of abuse is made
- how to go about developing an adult protection policy and guidelines
- confidentiality and data protection.
Trainer
This workshop will be led by Jenny Allthorpe, an experienced and qualified trainer with years of experience in developmental support roles in the voluntary sector. The workshop will be supported by materials from Better Care - a resource pack developed by Voluntary and Community Action in partnership with Dunstable Town Council to support voluntary and community groups working with vulnerable adults.
Venue
The workshop will be held at Bossard House, West Street, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 1DA. This venue is fully accessible. Parking is available in a pay and display car park nearby.
