Who the course is for...
This basic introductory workshop is for anyone
who does some training in their work, but are not primarily employed as trainers. It will also be suitable for anyone who would like to develop training skills for the future.
It will give an overview of what is involved in providing effective training and an opportunity to plan a workshop programme.

Please note that
- time constraints mean that there will not be an opportunity for participants to practise delivery
- participants will be asked to do a small amount of preparation work before the training day
- the process as well as the content will be important and we will try to use a wide range of training methods during the course.
Trainer
Jenny Allthorpe is Training and Development Officer at Voluntary and Community Action and has worked in the voluntary sector for over 25 years. She is a very experienced trainer having delivered course on a wide range of topics relevant to staff, managers and trustees of Voluntary and Community organisation.
Venue
The workshop will be held at Dunstable Fire Station, Brewers Hill Road, Dunstable LU6 1AA. This venue is fully accessible. Parking is available in a car park.

If you have any specific individual requirements to enable you to attend this event please let us know. Every effort is made to meet individual requirements, which might include; a loop system, sign language interpreter, wheelchair access, handouts in large print or special dietary requirements.
