Springboard for Women Returners

Fed up at home? Want to find a job, learn a new skill or find new interests? If so, this course is for you. It is aimed at women who want to focus on their own needs and to look at their choices and options for the future.

This free course will run during school hours, 9:45am to 2:45pm each Wednesday for 6 weeks, finishing on 30 May 2012.

  • Introduction to confidence building and assertiveness
  • Unlocking your skills and identifying your interests
  • Benefits advice and information
  • Local job and training information
  • Considering options such as self employment or voluntary work
  • Job search skills such as producing a CV, completing job application forms, interview skills
  • Guest speakers/college visit
  • One-to-one guidance
  • Planning for the future

There will be the chance to meet and talk with other women in similar circumstances in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

ALL WOMEN ARE WELCOME but places are limited and priority will be given to those living in the Sandhills area. Book your place today!

It will be held at the Community House, 6 Plover Road, Sandhills, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 4AW.

Access and Individual Requirements

There is limited access to the first floor training room. If alternative access is required, please contact the tutor. Every effort is made to meet individual requirements, which might include; a loop system, sign language interpreter, wheelchair access, handouts in large print or special dietary requirements.
