Certificate in Community Volunteering

What is it?

ASDAN is a qualification for volunteers that recognises the general skills that volunteers need and use when carrying out voluntary activities. It can provide a stepping stone to vocational qualifications and employment. It appears as a Level 2 Qualification in the National Standards Framework.

 Date:

Voluntary and Community Action runs this programme every year for twelve weeks starting in January. We can also deliver the ASDAN course as a Bespoke training service. Contact training@action-centralbeds.org.uk for more information.

How do I complete it?

To receive the Community Volunteering Qualification Certificate you will need to achieve four of the five units. You can also get a unit certificate if you complete one - three units.

To achieve each Community Volunteering unit you will need to produce a portfolio (folder) of evidence which reaches the standards set.

No experience of portfolio building or evidence gathering...

Our tutors will offer help at every step and guide you towards building your portfolio.

Access and Individual Requirements….

The workshop will be held at Kingsland Campus, Houghton Regis. This venue is fully accessible. Parking is available at the venue.

If you have any specific individual requirements to enable you to attend this course please let us know. Every effort is made to meet individual requirements, which might include; a loop system, sign language interpreter, wheelchair access, handouts in large print or special dietary requirements.

Refreshments will be provided.
