Families need Your help to "Play"

KidsOut, the national children’s charity providing fun and happiness for children and young people, is organising a series of free Family Fun Roadshows across South Bedfordshire and they need your help. Taking place this summer, they will encourage families to “play” together rather than spending their leisure time watching TV and sitting at computers.

To make these events a success, KidsOut needs the help of anyone with skills in drawing, needlework or woodworking to help them produce life size versions of commonly loved games such as table skittles, giant Kerplunk, Shut the Box and other fun indoor and outdoor activities.

With dates for Meadow Way in Leighton Buzzard already confirmed as 25 July and 1, 8,14 and 21 August, they would also like to hear from anyone interested in coming along to assist at the Roadshows. These will take place at the same venue once each week from around 10am – 2pm. Anyone volunteering will help KidsOut staff in setting up and overseeing the games.

Play enhances communication and exercise, helping prevent isolation and confidence.  It can also be great fun for ALL the family.
