Core Strategy Community Forum Event – Strathmore Hotel, Luton
The Luton and South Bedfordshire Joint Committee would like to invite you to attend an event to discuss the further development of the Core Strategy. The event will consist of three workshop sessions repeated over two days on Thursday 22nd – Friday 23rd May 2008 and we would wish to extend an invitation to members of the community.
The sessions will involve presentations by planning officers on the evidence gathered to date and what this information is telling us, followed by group discussion and questions. The session times are as follows:
Session 1. The Strathmore Hotel on Thursday 22nd May at 9am for a 9.30am start and it is anticipated that the session will finish at around midday.
Session 2. The Strathmore Hotel on Thursday 22nd May at 6pm for a 6.30pm start and it is anticipated that the session will finish at around 9pm.
Session 3. The Strathmore Hotel on Friday 23rd May at 9am for a 9.30am start and it is anticipated that the session will finish at around midday.
Given the limited number of places, it is important that you pre register by contacting the officers below.
In addition there will be a public exhibition that can be viewed during the afternoon of Thursday 22nd May between 2pm and 4pm. You do not need to pre register for this and can just drop in. Officers will be on hand to answer your questions.
This event is seen as the last opportunity for Stakeholders to informally discuss and comment on the Preferred Options of the Core Strategy before the recommendations are put forward to the Joint Committee in early summer prior to the statutory public consultation.
We would therefore be grateful if you could reply by Friday 16th May 2008 and include the name and contact details of representatives who will be attending. Full programme details will be distributed at the event and posted on the Shape Your Future website.
