22/05/08 Getting Tender Ready
This Workshop is for Trustees, chief officers and other senior staff involved in funding and development.
It is becoming increasingly clear that government organisations are replacing many grants to the third sector with contracts. It is equally clear that third sector organisations therefore need to explore and ready themselves for the whole arena of tendering for contracts. Effective tendering requires an understanding of the legislative, policy and the practical background within which public sector procurement is taking place. It also requires a clear understanding of what procurement officers want to see in your tender document and how to ensure your tender scores well at the appraisal stage. Getting Tender Ready may also be about forming consortia between organisations to tender for and deliver contracted services. This workshop will explore all these issues.
