Carers in Bedfordshire

Carers in Bedfordshire now have Carers Cafes running regularly from 1pm till 5pm on the following Saturdays every month        

• First Saturday - Abbotsbury Day Centre, Mead End, Biggleswade        
• Second Saturday - Houghton Regis Day Centre, Parkside Drive, Houghton Regis        
• Fourth Saturday - Goldington Day Centre, Barkers Lane, Bedford

The cafes are for all family carers, their cared for and immediate family.  Services offered, which are all free, include light refreshments, hairdressing, chiropody, physiotherapy, beauty therapy, computer games, childrens toys and games, childrens videos, newspapers to read, books to swap and a knit n natter circle. 

There are also Carer Support Workers and Professional Carers in attendance.  Transport, using wheelchair accessible buses, is available for those who need it.
