Better Care has been designed for voluntary organisations and community groups in Bedfordshire working with vulnerable adults including those:

• with sensory and/or physical disabilities
• with learning disabilities
• who are older
• with alcohol or drugs related issues
• with mental health issues

This pack contains a variety of resources to help organisations put in place practices that protect vulnerable adults.  These include:

• model Vulnerable Adults Policy
• checklists for recruitment of staff and volunteers
• criminal record and data protection guidelines
• health and safety procedures and record sheet
• model guidelines for reporting concerns
• where to go for further information
