Groundwork Luton & Bedfordshire
Geoff Bunce (Senior Community Project Officer)
lutonandbedfordshire@groundwork.org.uk
|
As one of the county’s leading environmental charities, Groundwork Luton & Bedfordshire works hard to put into action projects that improve local community areas throughout Bedfordshire.
Groundwork’s projects involve local communities in improving their immediate environment; they give young people the skills and confidence to influence their own futures; they provide opportunities for those needing a helping hand back into the employment market; they help businesses to invest in their local area and they work to ensure everyone who lives in the county has access to good quality, safe green space.
Demand for Groundwork’s unique ability to work alongside the whole community to transform places and lives, which is likely to increase in the year ahead, with the current economic situation hitting our most vulnerable communities the hardest. Groundwork is in a strong position to respond with an innovative and highly successful range of training and employment programmes whilst focussing on the quality of places where people live, work and play.
Are you part of a local community group or organisation and need help transforming your outdoor space? Do you have exciting ideas and plans to better use your group’s garden area, but don’t know how to implement your designs? If so, Groundwork may be able to help you. We are skilled in raising funds for project implementation and work alongside multiple partners to effect sustainable change. We can also organise volunteer events to help effect changes for a low cost (materials and provisions usually!) |
