1) The Act Foundation
Applications can be made at any time.

Grants can range from £100 upwards
What will it fund?
Individuals in need and charities that work to enhance the quality of life for people in need (specifically the mentally and physically disabled) can apply for funding from the ACT Foundation's grant programme. The Foundation makes grants to support the modifications to homes, schools, hospices etc, the provision of specialist equipment such as specialised wheelchairs, other mobility aids and equipment including medical equipment to assist independent living and financial assistance towards the cost of short-term respite breaks at a registered respite centre.

2) Alcohol and Education Research Council (AERC) Small Grants
Applications are assessed throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Grants of up to £5,000.
What will it fund?
The AERC's small grants fund aims to increase the capacity of individuals and organisations to deal with alcohol issues and also to develop the evidence base relating to alcohol issues. The overall aim is to make a difference. Click here for full details and examples of previous grants awarded.
3) The Alec Dickson Trust
Applications can be made at anytime.
How much is on offer?
Grants of up to £500.
What will it fund?
The Alec Dickson Trust supports individuals and groups of young people who are able to demonstrate that through volunteering or community service they can enhance the lives of others, particularly those most marginalised by society. Grants are available to help young people run a project in their local area anywhere in the UK that involves local volunteers. Applications can be made at anytime. Click here for full details.
4) Allen Lane Foundation
There are no deadline dates.
How much is on offer?
Funds range from £500 to £15,000.
What will it fund?
A variety of community or socially-focused projects which benefit people in specific target groups including older people, BME communities etc. They are particularly interested in new or imaginative approaches. Click here for more information.
5) Andy Fanshawe Memorial Trust
There are no application deadlines.
How much is on offer?
Grants between £300 to £500.
What will it fund?
The Trust gives grants that allow disadvantaged young people to take up opportunities to experience/develop an existing interest in the great outdoors, and usually supports programmes run by schools or youth groups/clubs. There are no application deadlines. Click here for full details.
6) The Arts Council
Applications are accepted throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
The Arts Council can fund projects of more than £1,000.
What will it fund?
Projects that involve literature, drama or music. Click here for more information.
7) Awards For All
Applications are accepted all year round.
How much is on offer?
Between £300 and £10,000 to fund a specific project or activity. Organisations can receive up to a maximum of £10,000 from Awards for All in any two year period.
What will it fund?
The Awards for All programme aims to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need. Click here for more information.

8) Awards for Young Musicians
How much is on offer?
Awards of between £200 and £2,000 are available. To be eligible for funding, applicants must have settled status in the UK on 1 September 2011, be 17 or under at 31 August 2012 and have a demonstrable financial need and proven musical skills and abilities.
What will it fund?
Grants will cover the majority of costs associated with music education, including private music lessons, travel costs, the purchase or hire of instruments and fees for specialist music schools. Funds are paid to teachers, organisations or suppliers and will not be given directly to students or their families. Click here to find out more.
9) The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund
How much is on offer?
The minimum available is £250 and the maximum is £4,000. The fund usually gives one-off grants but will consider longer-term commitments.
What will it fund?
The fund will cover the cost of activities such as play schemes, day and social activities, community improvement programmes, family support and respite, practical employment schemes and building renovations. Click here for full details.
10) BBC Children in Need General Grants Programme
How much is on offer?
Small grants of up to £10,000 and main grants of over £10,000.
What will it fund?
The grants are open to organisations working with disadvantaged children and young people who are 18 years old and under. Click here for more information.
11) The Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation
Applications are considered regularly throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Grants are normally in the range of £500 to £10,000.
What will it fund?
The Foundation provides grant funding in support of a wide range of charitable projects that aim to improve the quality of life for the young, deprived, disadvantaged, disabled and elderly in the UK. Email for more information.
12) The Bidwells Community Fund
How much is on offer?
Small grants up to £900.
What will it fund?
The Bidwells Community Fund makes small grants to support small, local voluntary and community groups and organisations that are undertaking charitable work across the Eastern region. Allocating grants from the start of 2011, the fund aims to improve the quality of life for communities across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire. Grants will be given to those projects helping people that face disadvantage and to those that engage and support local people, and therefore build stronger, healthier, inclusive and sustainable communities. The fund will focus around 5 core themes: children, young people and families, adults facing a life crisis, the natural environment, community development and engagement, and health. 13) Breaks 4 Kids
There are no application deadlines.
What will it fund?
Breaks 4 Kids is a charitable fund, founded and supported by YHA (Youth Hostel Association) and helps to fund group trips (schools, youth clubs, church groups etc) for children from low income households, by contributing up to 50% of the cost of their YHA accommodation and food. This gives children who would otherwise be left behind, the chance to be included in the trip with the rest of their group. Click here for full details.

15) The Care Leavers' Foundation Trust Fund
They offer a small number of grants on a regular basis.
How much is on offer?
The small grants scheme offers a maximum amount of £800 to an individual care leaver. There is no limit on the amount of applications an individual can make.
What will it fund?
The trust will consider applications for funds that will go towards household costs such as furnishings, emergency living expenses, training, employments costs and therapy etc. Grant applications are considered from care leavers between the ages of 18 to 26. Click here for further information.
16) Cash 4 Clubs
Applications are processed quarterly.
How much is on offer?
There are three tiers of grants at £250, £500 and £1,000 which are awarded on a discretionary basis.
What will it fund?
Cash 4 Clubs is a sports funding scheme which gives grassroots clubs a unique chance to apply for grants to improve facilities, purchase new equipment, gain coaching qualifications, and generally invest in the sustainability of their club. Click here for more information.
17) The Cattanach Charitable Trust
How much is on offer?
Grants of between £2,000 and £10,000 are usual and are for one year, however the trust occasionally awards multi-year funds.
What will it fund?
The trust focuses on small-scale projects that offer improved life chances for children, especially those under the age of 10, and a better way of life for their families and the local community. Click here for more information.
18) Cerebra Grant Scheme
Applications are accepted throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Examples of grants made include touch screen computers, specialist car seats, power wheelchairs and sensory toys.
What will it fund?
Cerebra grants are to help children who have disabilities because of a brain related condition or injury, the condition may be of a physical nature, a learning disability or both. The equipment or resource requested must improve the child's quality of life and not be available from statutory agencies like social services or the NHS. The child also must be aged 16 or under. 19) Charity Employees Benevolent Fund (CEBF)
Applications are considered all year round.
How much is on offer?
Currently offering limited financial support through grants for specific purposes, although there is no specific amount.
What will it fund?
Providing assistance for people working for charities, bringing provision for charity employees in line with that for the rest of the UK workforce. Click here for more information.
20) The Clothworker's Foundation
Applications are accepted all year round.
How much is on offer?
There is no maximum or minimum amounts.
What will it fund?
The foundation will only fund capital costs, such as buildings or vehicles, not salaries or project costs. One of the funding strands is Encouragement of Young People, which gives preference to organisations working with economically disadvantaged young people in deprived areas. 21) Comic Relief UK Grant Programme
The Grant Programme is currently open to applications.
How much is on offer?
Grants on average vary between £25,000 and £40,000 per year, and rarely exceed this upper limit.
What will it fund?
Comic Relief's UK Grant Programme aims to bring about positive and lasting change in the lives of poor and disadvantaged people in the UK by investing in work that addresses people's immediate needs, as well as tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice. 22) Comic Relief: Mental Health
How much is on offer?
Grants range from £25,000 to £40,000.
What will it fund?
Comic Relief hopes to improve the wellbeing of young people aged 11-25 with mental health problems in the UK and is looking to fund services that help young people with mental health problems to make positive changes in thier lives. Click here for full details.

The Country Land & Business Association (CLA) Charitable Trust
How much is on offer?
The average grant is in the region of £2,500.
What will it fund?
The CLA Charitable Trust helps to provide facilities for the disabled to take part in country sports and recreation and training in agriculture and horticulture. It also promotes education in the countryside for disadvantaged children and young people. Click here for full details.
24) Co-op Community Fund
Applications are accepted all year round.
How much is on offer?
Small grants available ranging from £100 - £2,000.
What will it fund?
Grants are available to local voluntary community and self-help groups operating throughout the UK. Co-op members are responsible for allocating the funds. Equipment, events costs, rent or fixtures, sport or computer equipment are all eligible costs. Click here for more information.
25) The Duveen Trust
There are no application deadlines.
How much is on offer?
Grants vary with each project considered.
What will it fund?
The Duveen Trust supports projects that will develop individual initiatives by young people, and help young people to get involved in community projects. Applications can be made at any time. Click here for full details and eligibility criteria.
26) Education Endowment Fund (EEF)
Future dates for application deadlines are 3rd October 2011, 27th January 2012 and 1st June 2012.
How much is on offer?
The smallest grant would typically be in the order of £50,000 and reach at least 1-- students.
What types of projects will the EEF support?
In the first phase of their work, the EEF would expect to fund projects which fit within one of four broad approaches:
1. Testing and incubating new ideas which are supported by evidence
2. Bringing initiatives from other contexts to EEF targetstudents and schools
3. Scaling up initiatives which have been proven to work on a modest scale
4. Developing projects with potential that have not, to date,been delivered or evaluated effectively

27) Ernest Cook Trust
How much is on offer?
The trust has two grant programmes that run throughout the year; one for awards under £4,000 and a larger grant award of between £4,000 and £10,000.
What will it fund?
The trust works with children and young people to develop and understanding of conservation and management of the countryside. The large grants programme funds a wide range of education projects. The small grants programme is aimed at schools and charities that would like to run projects that meet the trusts objectives. Click here for more information.
28) The Equitable Charitable Trust
How much is on offer?
The Trust is currently able to make grants each year totalling approximately £1 million. Click here for full details of the grants given in 2009.
What will it fund?
The Trust is an education charity and makes grants of around £1 million each year towards projects for children and young people under the age of 25 who are from disadvantaged backgrounds or disabled. Grants can be made for projects throughout the UK and are for project costs, capital expenditure, equipment and/or the salary costs of a post. 29) Esmee Fairbairn Foundation
Applications are accepted all year round.
How much is on offer?
The foundation aims to award a total of £25 million annually towards a wide range of work.
What will it fund?
The foundation aims to fund the charitable activities of organisations that have the ideas and ability to achieve change for the better such as work which others may find hard to fund, perhaps because it breaks new ground, appears too risky, requires core funding, or needs a more unusual form of financial help such as a loan. They also take initiatives where new thinking is required or where it is believed there are important unexplored opportunities. Their primary interests are in the UK's cultural life, education and learning, the natural environment and enabling disadvantaged people to participate more fully in society. 31) Faiths in Action
There is no formal deadlines for applications.
How much is on offer?
The maximum size of grant awarded is £6,000.
What will it fund?
Faiths in Action is for local projects and activities, and is open to faith, inter faith, voluntary and community sector organisations at national, regional and local levels in England. They particularly welcome new and existing projects that support young people. Click here for more information.
32) Family Fund
The government has recognised the essential work of the Family Fund, which supports low-income families with disabled children, by confirming "at least" £27 million of funding a year up to 2015, making a minimum of £108 million over four years. The Department for Education is also providing £800 million for short breaks for disabled children's families over the next four years, plus £40 million of capital investment next year. 33) First Light - Young Film Fund
How much is on offer?
Grants ranging from £3,000 to £30,000 which include a script grant, pilot grant and a studio grant.
What will it fund?
Any organisations working with young people from 5-19 years, including private companies, local authorities, schools, voluntary organisations, educational/ charitable trusts whose aim is to re-introduce cinema to young people and the local community. Click here for further information.
34) Four Acre Trust
The trustees meet in February, April, June, August, October and December and applications are usually processed within three months.
How much is on offer?
Grants range from £3,000 to £75,000.
What will it fund?
The Four Acre Trust supports charities working in the following areas with children and young people; mentoring schemes, youth work in local communities, breaks and holidays for young people, and school holiday activity schemes. Click here for further details.
35) The Foyle Foundation
Applications are accepted all year round.
How much is on offer?
Most grants awarded range between £10,000-£50,000 and applications are accepted all year round.
What will it fund?
The foundation supports charities whose prime purpose includes support for libraries, museums and archives, and special educational needs and learning difficulties. The foundation also seeks applications in regards to performing or visual arts, and applications linked to a known medical condition.

36) The Frank Buttle Trust - Grant scheme for students and trainees
How much is on offer?
The Trust's Grant Scheme for Students and Trainees aims to help young people facing severe social, emotional or health problems to gain academic, trade, professional or vocational qualifications. What will it fund?

37) Fundraising Support Services
The LCSI (London Centre for Social Impact) provide fundraising support to the non profit making sector. They specialise in translating social innovations into grant maker's languages and identifying the right grant makers. Practically this involves writing funding bids and completing funding applications. Furthermore they can assist non-profit organisation to search for potential funders and partners for their various social action aspirations and ideas as well as developing fundraising strategies. 38) Garfield Weston Foundation
There are no formal deadlines for submitting applications.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and the foundation pledges to deal with each one within four months of being received.
How much is on offer?
There is no specific grant amount, but the largest has been £250,000 and three grants of £100,000 were handed out last year.
What will it fund?
The Foundation provides funding for projects in the UK in the general fields of education, arts, health, environment, community, youth and social welfare. There are no specific priorities for funding and a wide range of chairitable activity is supported. Click here for further information.

40) Government launches FREE website to help charities find contracts
The government has launched a new website aimed at helping charities and small businesses to find public sector contracting opportunities. The site, called Contracts Finder, will list all such opportunities worth more than £10,000. Organisations can register on the free site to specify what sort of contracts they are interested in and receive emails about them. Click here to find out more.
41) Grand Charity of Freemasons
Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Grants range in value from £500 to over £50,000.
What will it fund?
The charity makes grants to Masonic and non-Masonic charities in England and Wales. Grants are broadly aimed at charitable work in fields such as Youth Opportunities, Vulnerable People and Disability Support. Click here for more information.

What will it fund?

43) Happy Days Children's Charity
Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Funding is available for day trips, theatre trips and family holidays.
What will it fund?
The Charity supports children and young people in the UK, aged 3-17, who are from many different backgrounds and cultures. The Charity offers help to those with learning difficulties, physical or mental disabilities, and with acute, chronic or life-limiting illnesses. The Charity also helps young people who have been abused or neglected, witnessed domestic violence, been bereaved, or act as carers for a parent or a sibling. Click here for further details.
44) The Henry Smith Charity

How much is on offer?
Main grants scheme provides funding of more than £10,000 a year to cover running costs or capital expenditure.
Small grants scheme of up to £10,000 are also available.
One off grants of up to £3000 available for organisations, schools, and youth groups for outings for children under 13 who are disabled or live in an area of high deprivation.
What will it fund?
The charity prioritises work with groups experiencing social or economic disadvantage. It cites projects maximising the potential of young people who experience educational, social or economic disadvantage. Applications can be considered for holidays or outings that have the objective of providing children with a break that they would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience. 46) Hilden Charitable Fund Summer Play Scheme Grants 2010
Applications are considered throughout the year, but only from organisations with an income of less than £150,000.
How much is on offer?
Grants of around £1,000.
What will it fund?
The Hilden Charitable Fund has allocated a small budget to help community groups run Summer Playschemes for the benefit of refugee and ethnic minority families. They will support Playschemes for children aged from 5 to 18 years which last from 2 to 6 weeks. Click here for more information.
47) Home Office Communities Against Guns, Gangs and Knives Fund
The Home Office has committed £18m of funding for 2011-2013 to support the police, local agencies and the voluntary sector to tackle knife, gun and gang-related violence and prevent young people entering a cycle of crime.
The funding is open to:
- a registered charity
- a social enterprise
- an unicorporated association/community group
- a company limited by guarantee (with charitable aims)

48) IT Grants
How much is on offer?
NetSolutions Wales provides grants of up to £10,000.
What will it fund?
Net Solutions Wales provides grants to community organisations in the UK to support the development of their IT capabilities. Funding is available for developing a project, expanding an existing group or improving efficiency and communication. Click here for more information.
49) J Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust
Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Grants of between £10,000 and £250,000 are available, which may take between three to six months to be awarded. Funds of up to £5,000 are also available for smaller charities.
What will it fund?
Grants are available for projects that seek to enhance the prospects of young people ages 14 to 19, through improving their chances of employment and diminishing the risk of social exclusion. Community-led schemes that integrate different social and ethnic groups and projects that have an impact on the lives of those who are homeless or have substance abuse problems are also of interest. 50) John Laing Charitable Trust
How much is on offer?
Donations range from £250 to £25,000.
What will it fund?

51) Kick It Out Development Grants
How much is on offer?
Grants of £2,000.
What will it fund?
The scheme is designed to fund new areas of activity to help increase participation through football. Funds can be used to pay for football coaching sessions, referee, facility hire and equipment. Click here for more information.
52) The Kids Fund - Youth Environmental Education Courses
Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Funding will normally be up to 80% of the cost of your group's course to a maximum of £3,000.
What will it fund?
The Field Studies Council is an independent educational charity committed to raising awareness about the natural world. Their Kids Fund aims to bring environmental understanding to disadvantaged young people, aged 8-18, whether that disadvantage is health, mobility, deprivation or financial, by helping them attend a course at a Field Studies Council centre. 53) Bursaries for CES Training Courses; Grants from Lankelly Chase
What is on offer?
CES (Charities Evaluation Services) have recently been awarded a grant from Lankelly Chase to offer a bursary scheme for organisations to attend a CES training course.
What will it fund?
The bursary is for non-London organisations that fall into specific categories and can be used to attend either a 1 day or 2 day course. 54) Live Unltd Programme
Applications are accepted throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Grants for young peoplle of up to £5,000.
What will it fund?
The Live UnLtd programme has grants to help young people aged 11-21 turn an idea to make the world a better place into a reality. Non-financial support is also available and can include budgeting advice, networking opportunities, governance issues and working with volunteers. Click here for full details.
55) Lloyds TSB Foundation Community Programme
How much is on offer?
The foundation does not publish an amount but says it offers grants “of one to three years that are appropriate to the size and needs of each charity”.
What will it fund?
It funds charities to enable them to continue and develop existing community based work, or to develop the organisation and its services. Click here for more information.
56) Lord's Taverners Foundation
How much is on offer?
Grants usually range from £1,000 to £3,000.
What will it fund?
The Lord’s Taverners is accredited by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as the official national charity for recreational cricket. The aim is to give as many young people as possible a sporting chance and, therefore, our limited resources need to be distributed as widely and as fairly as possible. 57) Marsh Christian Trust
There is no deadline for applications.
How much is on offer?
Grants range from £250 to £4,000, with new applications at the lower end of this scale.
What will it fund?
The Marsh Christian Trust provides grants to registered charities working in the fields of social welfare, literature arts and heritage, environmental and animal welfare, healthcare and medical research, education and training and a small number overseas. Grants are made towards core funding and not for special projects or sponsorship proposals. Applications are considered on the basis of the organisation's financial position, performance against charitable aims and objectives and the ration of voluntary income against fundraising expenses. 58) The Mackintosh Foundation
Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Grants of up to £10,000, although most grants are for between £250 and £1,000.
What will it fund?

59) The Monica Rabagliati Charitable Trust
How much is on offer?
Grants are issued twice yearly, usually between £1,000 and £5,000.
What will it fund?
The Trust's primary focus is the support of organisations that alleviate child suffering and deprivation, with priority on small/medium sized organisations where possible. Click here for more information and application details.
60) Mothercare Group Foundation
Applications can be made at any time.
The Mothercare Group Foundation accepts grant applications throughout the year from registered charities. The scheme supports projects in the following areas: Ensuring the good health and well-being of expecting mothers, new mothers and their children, special needs of babies and premature babies, parenting initiatives for family well-being. 61) The National Hockey Foundation
Grants are awarded throughout the year and wholly at the discretion of the Trustees.
How much is on offer?
There is no maximum amount rewarded, although the Foundation is unlikely to award grants for less than £10,000 and no more than £75,000.
What will it fund?
The Foundation aims to encourage the development and growth of hockey by providing capital and operational funding to the sport through clubs and educational establishments in England and by support to England's Hockey's youth development activities. Click here for more information.
62) The Nationwide Foundation

How much is on offer?
Grants of up to £5,000.
What will it fund?
The Nationwide's Small Grants Programme makes grants to charities which offer financial and/ or housing related support to survivors of domestic abuse. Click here for more information and for application details.
63) The Noel Buxton Trust
Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Grants are made all year round and rarely exceed £4,000. In 2008 the average grant was £1,670.
What will it fund?
The trust's main areas of funding are the welfare of disadvantaged children and those in care, the welfare of prisoners and young offenders and sustainable developmnent in east and southern asia. 64) 02 Think Big
How much is on offer?
Grants of £300. Projects that prove to be successful will be eligible for a cash injection of £2,500.
What will it fund?
Think Big enables 13-25 year olds to apply for a £300 grant to fund projects aimed at addressing local issues identified by the young people themselves. There are no deadlines as long as you can show that your project is making a difference within three months of starting.

How much is on offer?
Large grants of £2,000 and above are available for equipment and building projects. Small grants of up to £500 are also available for furniture or games equipment.
What will it fund?
The charity funds projects and organisations that work with disadvantaged young people, people of all ages with a disability and older people. What will it fund ?
The Peter Cruddas Foundation is a grant making Foundation that aims to support charitable works that benefit disadvantaged and disengaged young people in the UK. The Foundations current funding streams include pathways/support for young disadvantaged or disengaged young people into mainstream education, crime diversion schemes and work experience/skills projects for young people. What will it fund?
Porticus UK awards grants for activities that fall under the following categories: Strengthening Family Relationships, Enriching Education, Transformation through Faith and Ethics in Practice. How much is on offer?
Grants of up to £3,000 are available, with £1,500 given on average, to support setting up a project which will benefit their project.
What will it fund?

69) Reaching Communities - Funding for buildings
How much is on offer?
Grants between £100,000 and £500,000 towards projects with a total value of no more than £750,000 for voluntary and community organisations and town and parish councils.
What will it fund?
This fund is aimed at turning existing facilities into buildings offering a wide range of activities for the benefit of a broad group of people in the community. Grants will be awarded for the renovation of any multi-purpose building currently used by communities, including memorial halls, community centres and village halls. 70) The Rowing Foundation

How much is on offer?
Grants between £500 and £2,000.
What will it fund?
The Rowing Foundation (RF) is a registered charity set up in 1981 to generate and administer funds for the aid and support of young people (those under 18 or still in full time education) and the disabled of all ages through their participation in sport and games, particularly water sports. Currently awarding around 300 grants totalling circa £2 million each year.
What will they fund?
The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation supports projects in the UK that address issues in rural communities and/or areas of urban deprivation. 72) Sanctuary Housing Grand Ideas Fund

Grants of up to £1,000.
What will it fund?
The Grand Ideas Fund will offer up to £1,000 to groups which need some financial support to help deliver activities within their local community. What will it fund?

74) SITA Trust
How much is on offer?
Grants of up to £10,000.
What will it fund?
This fund has been created to assist young people aged 14-25 to volunteer their time to create or enhance recreation or leisure facilities that can be enjoyed by the wider community.
SITA Trust can provide funding towards the resources required by young volunteers to transform a derelict piece of land into a community green space or give a local community centre a much needed 'make-over'. 75) Sport England Small Grants
How much is on offer?
Grants of between £300 and £10,000. The total cost of the project should not exceed £50,000 and its main target must be improving sports participation and outcomes of sports currently recognised by Sport England.
What will it fund?
Priority will now be given to projects that provide young people aged 11 to 16 with extra-curricular sports, organisations that encourage young people aged 16 and above to continue their participation in sports and projects that increase the number of adults taking part in sport. Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Grants average from £25,000 and £40,000 and rarley exceed this upper limit.
What will it fund?
Supporting activities that help improve the quality of life for children and young people in the United Kingdom and across the world where poverty and disadvantage create social injustice and hardship. Click here for more information.
77) St. James Place Foundation
Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
A maximum of £10000 is available to organisations with an annual income of less than £600,000. A major grants programme offers a maximum of £25,000 per annum for a maximum of two years and is only available to organisations with an annual income of less than £2m.
What will it fund?
The foundation will support projects that provide directly for under 25’s who suffer from physical or mental health difficulties, or life-threatening or de-generative illness. This includes young people under 25 caring for others. Click here for more information.
78) The Sylvia Waddilove Foundation UK
How much is on offer?
Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available for small charities with an annual turnover ofunder £500,000; however, trustees may use their discretion to increase or decrease the total funds awarded.
What will it fund?
Priority is given to projects that relate to the foundation's preferred charitable purposes, and will benefit the community or groups or more than four people. How much is on offer?
The project can help you to improve your chances of being successful, and provides you with one day (8 hours) of consultancy, worth £500, to help you prepare for contracting, or prepare a good quality tender submission. The cost for this all this help is just £50.
What will it fund?
The NAVCA (National Association for Voluntary and Community Action) Tender Support Project provides one-to-one specialist support to help prepare local social enterprises, voluntary organisations and community groups for contracting or producing high-quality tender submissions to deliver public services. You can choose the consultant you want to work with from an approved list of high-quality specialist consultants, and the support is available to all local charities, community groups and social enterprises in England. Grants of up to £10,000.
What will it fund?
The Trustees are committed to supporting a large number of excellent local organisations and projects that support disabled children and their families on a daily basis which could include hydrotherapy pools,multi sensory rooms, minibuses and sibling projects. Click here for further details.

83) Variety Club Children's Charity
Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Most grants are for less than £5,000, many requests are for sums under £500.
What will it fund?
The Charity's support programmes are intended to benefit sick, disabled or disadvantaged children up to 19 years of age. 84) Venturesome
Applications are considered throughout the year.
How much is on offer?
Organisations that are looking for between £20,000 and £350,000.
What will it fund?
Venturesome is a social investment fund - a CAF initiative launched in 2002.
It provides capital investment to charities and other social purpose organisations. Venturesome recognises that capital investment is necessary for growth, covering cash flow difficulties or weathering difficult periods but is difficult to access. Such financial needs may fall outside the criteria of a grant maker, but be too risky for a bank loan. Click here for more information and application details.
85) Volunteering Fund Health and Social Care
How much is on offer?
Six to eight grants of up to £35,000 over three years in each region.
What will it fund?
Projects that are addressing social care priorities, in particular those outlined in the Department of Health strategy Our Health, Our Care, Our Say, or projects addressing health inequalities. £1,000 each month.
What will it fund?
Waitrose runs the Waitrose Community Matters scheme whereby branch has had £1,000 each month to give to 3 local organisations. For more information and to be considered for this scheme, you can collect an application form from a Waitrose store, or contact the Community Matters Champion at your local Waitrose branch.
87) The Wakeham Trust
How much is on offer?
They normally give grants to projects where an initial £75 to £750 can make a difference to getting the project up and running.
What will it fund?
The Wakeham Trust offers grants to small registered charities, community and voluntary groups in the UK to help rebuild their communities through community participation. They are particularly interested in neighbourhood projects, community arts projects, projects involving community service by young people, or projects set up by those who are socially excluded. 88) Wallace & Gromit's Children's Foundation
How much is on offer?
Grants will vary for each specific project.
What will it fund?
The Foundation awards grants to registered charities supporting chidren's hospitals and hospices in the UK. The Foundation aims to fund projects which are not funded directly by the NHS ie. What will it fund?
Helping Hands is a new community initiative where each local Wilkinson's store has been given a budget to distribute to projects and schemes within the stores local community. To apply for a donation from the Helping Hands Fund you need to visit your local store and pick up an application form.

Applications can be made at any time, but are considered by the committee at their meetings in May and October.
How much is on offer?
Grants usually have an upper limit of £15,000 for up to 3 years.
What will it fund?
The Benevolent Fund was set up with the aim of helping young people at risk of criminal involvement to stay out of trouble and assist in the rehabilitation of offenders, particularly young offenders both in prison and after release. How much is on offer?
Grants are normally for a maximum of £3,000 per year and most of their grants are for more than one year because they give priority to ongoing needs.
What will it fund?
The Yapp Charitable Trust makes grants to small registered charities with a total annual expenditure of less than £40,000, to sustain their existing work, with one of its priorities being children and young people aged 5 - 25 years. Click here for full details.

Grants ranging from £10,000-£15,000.
What will it fund?
The LankellyChase Foundation is funding grants to organisations that offer excellent art experiences to vulnerable 11 to 21 year olds; for example young carers, those excluded from school, those leaving care, those at risk of offending and young people struggling with addiction, mental illness and the limitations imposed by poverty. 92) Young Roots - Heritage Lottery Fund

Grants of between £3,000 and £25,000.
What will it fund?
Young Roots is a grant programme designed to engage young people aged 13-25 with their heritage. To receive a Young Roots grant, your project must relate to the varied heritage of the UK and provide new opportunities for a wider range of young people aged 13-25 to learn about their own and other heritage, allow young people to lead and take part in creative and engaging activities and develop partnerships between youth and heritage organisations. Grants between £5,000 and £10,000 for projects to a maximum of 6 months.
What will it fund?
Funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and the Department for Communities and Local Government, The Youth of Today programme will look to encourage young people aged 13 to 19 to make the most of their talent and get their voices heard. What will it fund?
