Valuing, Inclusive, Supportive, Inspirational, Ownership Network "4" organisations working with Children and Young People
VISION 4 CYP is a developing network of voluntary and community organisations working with children and young people, supported by a Network Development Officer based at Voluntary Action Luton.
By working through a single point of contact the network enables better partnership working with statutory and other voluntary and community agencies, better access to opportunities and increased spread of information.
The network follows the principles of the Children’s Workforce Development Council, that a better-informed and developed workforce will enable better outcomes for our local children in line with the objectives of Every Child Matters.
An example of a benefit to working as a network is an information event was held in September to bring organisations together to find out more about the key issues of integrated working. Presentations were received and workshops took place informing about Common Induction, Common Assessment Framework, ContactPoint etc with a view to promoting the benefits to the voluntary sector in working in harmony with statutory agencies. Participants welcomed the information available and enjoyed the opportunity of networking.
