Who are we?
Bedfordshire Youth Agency Forum (BYAF) is a sub-group of VOCypf. It was created as it was realised that the processes, legal requirements and more importantly the need of Youths is different to that when working with children and/or families.
Led by the VOCypf Youth Officer, BYAF currently consists of over 35 voluntary organisations and community groups and is continually growing.
What do we do?
We aim to provide the opportunity for VCS youth agencies to:
- jointly plan services
- discuss common issues and concerns
- respond collectively to current issues and developments
- provide a supportive environment where agencies can feel comfortable to discuss any concerns
- provide regular networking/information sharing opportunities for the sector
BYAF aim to meet 4 times a year to discuss strategic agendas, items of concern or difficulty, progress and achievements. It is an ideal time to for organisations to network and gain valuable contacts.
Who can join?
Any Voluntary and Community sector organisation or group that is working with, or supporting, young people predominantly between the ages of 12-19, or up to 25 if they have a learning disability or difficulty.
The types of organisations already signed up are:
